Family Ministries : Watchmen Men's Ministry

The role of a watchman biblically called for a man to:

      1. Go to a high place
      2. Stand guard
      3. Open and close the gates

These are spiritual principles which God has entrusted us to perform as husbands, fathers, brothers, sons and servants of the body of Christ.

"…that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow." Philippians 2:10

"... that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love," Ephesians 3: 17

The Watchmen Men's Ministry meets every Saturday at 7:30 AM at the Chapel in classroom #1. Meetings typically begin with worship and prayer and include time in the Word, sharing our personal lives and holding each other accountable. Fellowship, coffee and donuts are a must! As each man experiences personal growth, the whole group grows closer together.

For the past ten years, Saturday mornings have been a time when men would circle the wagons and join together. Throughout the years we’ve discussed the roles we play as men of God, husbands, fathers, employees, and servants in our church and community. We’ve taken many trips to Promise Keepers events around the Northeast, and have given our time locally to help our community be a better place.

Simply come as you are - all men are welcome. Periodically breakfasts are held for all men who want to attend.

The vision and goals of the men's ministry also include building relationships and developing discipline. The following are examples of how a man can continue on his path to growth in Jesus Christ:

    1. Finding a consistant quiet time
    2. Implementing an organized Bible study
    3. Joining with other men in an accountability group
    4. Getting involved in church
    5. Learning our spiritual gifts and using them in ministry
